VolShield provides security and compliance policy templates intended to serve as a starting point for organizations developing their own internal documentation. By downloading or using any document from VolShield, you acknowledge and agree to the following.
1. Templates, not final compliance documents
VolShield's policies are CISO-curated and AI-personalized templates. They are not:
- Final, ready-to-deploy compliance documents
- Legal advice
- A substitute for review by qualified security, compliance, or legal professionals
- Guaranteed to satisfy any specific regulatory framework, certification body, or auditor
Every organization has unique operational, contractual, and legal circumstances. Templates must be reviewed, customized, and adapted to your specific environment by qualified professionals from within your organization or your engaged advisors before deployment.
2. No warranty of audit or certification outcomes
VolShield does not guarantee that any policy purchased from our platform will result in:
- Successful completion of any audit (including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST CSF, GDPR assessments, PCI DSS, or any other framework)
- Award or maintenance of any certification
- Compliance with any specific law, regulation, or contractual requirement
- Successful defense against any regulatory inquiry, audit finding, breach investigation, or legal proceeding
Audit and certification outcomes depend on factors outside VolShield's control: the quality of your implementation, your operational practices, your staff training, individual auditor discretion, the specific scope of your audit, and the standards you are being measured against.
3. Professional review is required
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any document downloaded from VolShield:
- Accurately reflects your organization's actual practices, controls, and capabilities
- Meets the specific requirements of your auditors, regulators, contracts, and legal jurisdiction
- Has been reviewed and approved by qualified professionals (your CISO, General Counsel, Compliance Officer, or external advisors)
- Is properly implemented, communicated to relevant personnel, and maintained over time
Deploying a policy without professional review could result in non-compliance, audit findings, contractual breaches, regulatory penalties, or other adverse outcomes. VolShield is not liable for any such consequences.
4. Limitation of liability
VolShield's overall liability is capped as set forth in our Terms and Conditions. Without limiting that cap, VolShield shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages arising from the use of our policies, including:
- Loss of business contracts or revenue
- Failed audits or revoked certifications
- Regulatory fines or penalties
- Costs of remediation, re-auditing, or re-certification
- Damages from any security incident occurring at your organization
